The newly published Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners UK Bar Guide have cemented our status the leading set on the North Eastern Circuit and the home of many of the most eminent practitioners, and in their words, the ‘crème de la crème’. The publications editorials have praised our ‘high quality advocates’ across all of our key practice areas of criminal, regulatory, civil and family law.

Chambers Director, Tim Coulson, said, “I am delighted that almost a third of Chambers members have been recognised in this way. This is testament not just to what they do but, perhaps more significantly, how they do it – qualities shared by everyone in Chambers not just the 17 individuals listed. I am equally delighted that the efforts of their support staff have been similarly recognised.”

A total of 17 members of Chambers have been recommended including our Head of Chambers, Robert Smith QC, noted this year as ‘Star Individual’ in the Chambers and Partners guide – ‘simply the crème de la crème’ and ‘the doyen of the North Eastern Criminal Bar’.
