Prison Work

New Park Court Barristers Chambers has a long-established Prison Law team consisting of barristers who are highly experienced in all areas and at all levels of Prison Law work:

  • Adjudications;
  • Parole Board Hearings (including applications for recategorisation, release and recall of hearings following breach of license conditions relating to lifers, determinate and indeterminate sentence prisoners);
  • Judicial Review (including JR of Parole Board paper decisions and decisions arising out of oral hearings and the application of Prison Service Orders and Prison Service Instructions);
  • Applications for habeus corpus;
  • Representations to the Prisons Ombudsman;
  • Representations to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal in respect of deportation hearings;
  • Coroner’s Inquests relation to deaths in prison and police custody.

With specialist expertise and knowledge from across the breadth of prison law, New Park Court Chambers’ Prison Law team can provide invaluable advice and advocacy assistance.
