Housing/Landlord & Tenant

New Park Court Chambers’ housing team deals with the whole spectrum of housing cases from disrepair through all aspects of anti social behaviour to forfeiture, rent arrears, homelessness and disability discrimination. Senior members of the team work at the highest level and are familiar with challenges under the Human Rights Act, judicial review and the cross-over into family work and trusts. They present cases in the County Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights.

We also have a team dealing with commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, acting for both claimants and defendants as we believe that this improves our service for everyone, allowing our clients to benefit from our knowledge of how the “other side” operates. Members of the team have experience of advising on leases, licenses and tenancy matters and junior members of the team are regularly instructed in possession matters. We have also drafted commercial leases.
