Police Discipline

New Park Court Chambers’ regulatory team has the highest reputation locally and nationally for presenting and defending cases before disciplinary and regulatory tribunals. We have a long history of representing police officers before disciplinary tribunals, at Chief Constable’s reviews and before the Police Appeals Tribunal. We have also taken these cases to Judicial Review in the Administrative Court where necessary. The offences involved range from petty theft through road traffic offences to the most serious sexual offences and fraud and can also involve criminal charges in the Magistrates’ or Crown Court arising out of the same facts. In many instances, the police officer’s career will be under threat and require robust defence by Counsel. Chambers can provide senior or junior Counsel with appropriate experience to deal with all of these circumstances.
